What is Chasqui?
- The Chasquis (also Chaskis) were agile and highly-trained runners that delivered messages,royal delicacies and other objects throughout the Inca Empire, principally in the service of the Sapa Inca.
- A caricature of the Chasqui was used as the mascot for the Copa América in 2004, which was hosted by Peru that year. The chaski lived in 200-700 A.D.
- In today’s Scenario Chasqui can be defined as baton runner in relay race – so, hand over your baton to us we together will win the race and achieve the objective or goals.
